Shandong TXD Steel Group has launched a custom-cut steel profiles service for clients who require angle steel, channel, H beam, flat bar, and other sections cut to precise lengths before shipment. The new service reduces on-site cutting labor, minimizes material waste, and streamlines fabrication workflows for structural steel contractors and manufacturers.
The new cutting line handles sections up to 400 mm depth with length tolerances of ±1 mm for cold-sawn cuts and ±2 mm for thermal cuts on heavier sections. Angle steel, flat bar, and small channel sections are processed on high-speed cold saws that produce burr-free ends suitable for immediate welding or bolting. Larger H beam and channel sections are cut using a CNC band saw with miter cutting capability for angle cuts up to 45 degrees.
Bundle cutting is available for volume orders where consistent piece lengths are required — particularly useful for purlin orders, bracing members, and repetitive fabrication components. The service eliminates the common problem of field crews cutting standard 6-meter or 12-meter lengths down to size with hand tools, which often introduces length variation and wasted offcuts.
For steel fabricators, receiving material pre-cut to exact bill-of-materials lengths means components move directly from receiving to fit-up, bypassing the in-house cutting station. This reduces handling time, saw blade consumption, and the floor space required for raw material storage. For overseas clients, pre-cutting reduces container deadweight from offcuts — every kilogram shipped is usable product.
TXD applies rust-preventive oil to cut ends and bundles pieces by length and section type for efficient unloading and identification at the job site. Bundle tags reference the customer's part numbers or drawing references where provided, supporting ISO 9001-compliant material traceability from mill certificate to installed component.
Custom-cut orders are accepted for any profile in TXD's standard inventory. Minimum order quantity is 500 kg per section type and length. Lead time for cut-to-length orders is 3–5 working days beyond standard stock pull time, depending on total piece count and cutting complexity.
