TXD Steel Profile has launched a custom-cut steel profiles service, enabling clients to order H beams, channels, angle bars, and flat bars cut to exact specified lengths rather than purchasing only standard 6-meter or 12-meter lengths. The new service reduces on-site cutting labor and material waste for fabrication shops and construction contractors.
The custom-cut service covers TXD's full structural steel profile range: H beams (HW, HM, HN series, 100–400 mm depth), channels (50–400 mm), equal and unequal angle bars (20–200 mm), and flat bars (12–300 mm width). Cutting is performed using cold saw and band saw equipment that produces clean, square-cut ends with minimal burr.
Cut length tolerance is ±1.0 mm for sections up to 200 mm depth and ±1.5 mm for larger sections. Multiple pieces can be cut from a single stock length to optimize material yield. A cutting schedule optimization report is provided for orders exceeding 5 metric tons, showing material utilization percentage.
For structural steel fabricators, custom-cut lengths eliminate the need to handle full 12-meter lengths in the shop. A fabricator ordering 120 pieces of 2.5-meter-long HW200×200 receives material ready for immediate fitting and welding, bypassing the in-house sawing step. This reduces handling time, saw blade consumption, and the safety risks associated with manual cutting of heavy sections.
Construction contractors benefit from reduced on-site cutting, particularly where access is limited or where hot-work permits for cutting operations add cost and delay. Pre-cut lengths are loaded in installation-sequence order where specified.
Clients provide a cutting list with section designation, grade, quantity, and cut length for each item. TXD's sales team reviews the list for feasibility, generates a quotation including the cutting charge, and confirms the production schedule. Cutting is performed alongside standard order preparation, adding approximately 2–3 working days to the standard dispatch timeline.
